The Challenge

This Challenge will explore how business can make an important contribution to the SDGs through public advocacy and policy dialogue, in partnership with civil society, at a global and national level.

Drawing on the experience of a range of established business-NGO advocacy partnerships aimed at addressing key SDG priorities, such as strengthening of public health systems, unlocking more inclusive economic growth and advancing human rights and good governance, the following questions will be addressed:

At a practical level, what value can advocacy partnerships between business and NGOs contribute to the SDGs, and how can companies best contribute to these partnerships?

What are some good examples and what impact have they had?

What are the barriers and enablers for effective advocacy partnerships?

 

 

The Output

Informed by a range of engagement activities, the output of the Challenge will be a set of practical guidelines, principles and recommendations for companies and policy makers on how to maximise business contributions to the SDGs through advocacy partnerships.
